The Earth Hour

Today we brasilians from Rio de Janeiro and people from other countries turned off our room lights, in a simbolic act, which was called Eath Hour.
This is one more act of WWF.
But, what is one hour to everything people do to help destroying the planet? Is it really necessary? Does it really work? Maybe. Now, we're seeing famous people on TV, with a ball on their hands and a candle, saying "We are doing the best for our planet"... Are they? I still think it's one of these actions to show that big institutions and known people are doing all those fancy things to save the world. We have a lot of things to worry about.
I don't know if I was in this act. My lights are all turned down at 7pm then I turn on the TV, so they were off during the Hour. If you had turned off yours, all right, one hour less of a light on in your light bill. I'm kidding, at least it can make us think about our planet and what we can do to save it.
So we need to throw out our trash in a trash bin,to walk instead of driving, and stop to destroy our forest. And we can't do it with our lights turned off!!

Well, Ricardo...
I don't think they are doing their best. They say it in front of the cameras and in the midia. But thet still with their V8's cars, burning fossil oils.
And, not all brazilians turned off the lights, I didn't know about it, and didn't turned off too.. :P

Well Ricardo...At first I wanna congratulate you for the great post, and for your invective to put news on our blog...But, I desagree in a point of your text, 'cause this act, doesn't represent that turn off the lights for 1 hour would change our world or even change mankind's mind...It's a extreme action, just to alert to everione, all these thing you've said, being polite with the world...This action doesn't have the intention of the economy of energy, but it try to say that if just one does nothing change, but if all the population do, it will have an extreme power to change our world...this action it's just to alert people that isn't enough, think if you're just turning the light for an hour you will change the world, but to tell everione that together we can make it work...together one light turns in 5 millions lights that has an average use of light about 50 killowatts each, and multiplied by 5 million, wow, is a large and considerable number...and it's for everything in our life, energy, food, water, air...once I've listened that doesn't matter, until air, water, becames commodities and start to being seing in the stock, every one will waste, and in fact it's true; we must to change our think and start to put our foot on the ground, on the arid and hot ground, changed by the global warming...we're not flying, we're falling and until everione understand that, we'll continue falling...So, 'cause of the actions, like this "earth hour", more and more people are starting to change their habbits, and thinking more about the planet future...Will we have to watch our planet stop of being a paradise and become such a hell that it's starting, It's really necessary? So that's it...but I really think it was a good post, congratulations ricardo...Well Ricardo...At first I wanna congratulate you for the great post, and for your invective to put news on our blog...But, I desagree in a point of your text, 'cause this act, doesn't represent that turn off the lights for 1 hour would change our world or even change mankind's mind...It's a extreme action, just to alert to everione, all these thing you've said, being polite with the world...This action doesn't have the intention of the economy of energy, but it try to say that if just one does nothing change, but if all the population do, it will have an extreme power to change our world...this action it's just to alert people that isn't enough, think if you're just turning the light for an hour you will change the world, but to tell everione that together we can make it work...together one light turns in 5 millions lights that has an average use of light about 50 killowatts each, and multiplied by 5 million, wow, is a large and considerable number...and it's for everything in our life, energy, food, water, air...once I've listened that doesn't matter, until air, water, becames commodities and start to being seing in the stock, every one will waste, and in fact it's true; we must to change our think and start to put our foot on the ground, on the arid and hot ground, changed by the global warming...we're not flying, we're falling and until everione understand that, we'll continue falling...So, 'cause of the actions, like this "earth hour", more and more people are starting to change their habbits, and thinking more about the planet future...Will we have to watch our planet stop of being a paradise and become such a hell that it's starting, It's really necessary? So that's it...but I really think it was a good post, congratulations ricardo...

Thank you, Lucas ^^ I tottaly agree with you. "At least it can make us think about our planet and what we can do to save it". I knew it doesn't have a intention of economy, but a simbolic act to make people think. And Renan, I didn't mean that famous people really do their best, but that they take advantage of those acts to be known.

PS:I was thinking about what people would coment here, and I was rally worried about that xD
